Nightly fire from November 1st solved !
The criminal investigation department was able to quickly solve the arson from November 1st when several pallets standing on the loading dock inflamed. Fortunately nobody was injured but there is property damages in the six-figure range.
Two young men from Heubach, aged 16 and 18 made a confession. Juvenile cockiness might have been the cause for the fire. The youngsters only wanted to see wheter the material would be combustible. When they realized that it inflamed very quickly they tried to extinct the fire, unfortunaltey without success, so that they finally alerted the fire briagde themselves.
The production was started with the beginning of the first shift on Tuesday morning and all departments work as usual. Fortunately we have had no delays in sending out...

Photokina successfully closed.
Renz showed products for the photo & imaging market on the Photokina fair which took place in Cologne from September 21 to 26, 2010.
Renz presented their products around punching binding and laminating of photo products in hall 4.1 stand I041.
Renz was the right address for digital printers, who also wanted to produce wire comb bound calendars or photo books.

New, space saving packing „face to face“ for RENZ RING WIRE® cut binding elements
From August 2010 the conventional type of packing of RENZ RING WIRE® cut binding elements is changed to space saving packing technique “face to face”. Customers benefit from reduced volume!
Wire comb binding is a product that needs an optimum packing to assure a failure-free binding.
With the patented WIRE PACK® system RENZ deliver binding elements in most diameters on an absolutely transport safe packing since the single RENZ RING WIRE® cut elements are fixed on a cardboard medium. Thus, the cut binding elements do not get stuck and deformed by pulling them apart again.
Until now the Wirepacks were stacked on top of each other so that the side where the wire comb is fixed was faced upwards.
Now RENZ developed the WIRE PACK® system further. With the new “face to face” packing technique the binding elements on the card board are stacked opposite to each other in the packing box. Thereby packing volume is reduced by up to 45 percent.
You as our customer benefit from this! Through the smaller packing your storage space will be reduced and when ordering larger quantities you save transportation costs.

Successful trade show appearance at ExpoPrint in São Paulo
From 23rd to 29th June 2010 Renz do Brasil, a subsidiary of Chr. Renz GmbH, participated at the fair ExpoPrint in São Paulo, Brazil.
This exhibition is the greatest trade fair of the printing industry in South America.
RENZ could not only welcome lots of Brazilian visitors but also qualified decision-makers from all over South and Central America.
An important point were punching and binding machines for paper processing in the digital printing sector: The Mobi 500, a semi automatic wire comb binding machine, and the Autopunch 360, an automatic high-performance punching machine were of particular interest.
Furthermore the Autobind 500 HS had its world premiere in South America. This semi automatic binding machine shows an increase in performance of up to 30...

Paper converting with plastic spirals was a further focus at the RENZ booth. For the first time a former with feeding unit was presented. This system is a semi automatic high-performance plastic spiral winding machine.
The market for this binding technique becomes more and more important in South America. With the former paper processors have the opportunity for the first time to improve from manual to semi automatic production.
Also for the first time at a Brazilian fair visitors of the RENZ booth could have a look at the new HT pouch laminators of the product category “office line”. These products were also very well received which was reflected in numerous fair orders.
Mario Hinrichsen, managing director of Renz do Brasil, summarizes positively: “ExpoPrint 2010 showed the general euphoric atmosphere that is currently noticeable in the Brazilian and South American market. Since the foundation eight years before Renz do Brasil has been ingrained deeply in the market and has become a reliable partner for the graphic printing industry.”
